Best Junior Detective Fiction

Giallo Giovane, supported by EJGS and the Partners of the Edinburgh Gadda Prize, is awarded for best junior detective fiction.
Secondary schools in Edinburgh may submit one or more stories written by their S2/S3 pupils. Entries must be written in English, be no more than 2,000 words long, and be set in Rome.
12 semifinalists will be invited to The Blackwell Gadda Workshop – 4 as finalists actively taking part in the Workshop. The event will take place on Saturday 19 June 2010, in the Caledonian Hall, Royal Botanic Gardens, and will be open to the general public.
The winner of the Prize will be announced at the Prize Award Ceremony.
The Prize
The winner will receive a diploma, a book prize sponsored by the Scottish Book Trust, and a designated number of complimentary banquet tickets for the Prize Award Ceremony. In addition, the winning submission will be published by the Edinburgh Journal of Gadda Studies. All semifinalists will receive a diploma. They will also receive a book prize sponsored by the Scottish Book Trust. All finalists will receive a designated number of complimentary banquet tickets for the Prize Award Ceremony.
