Antonella Riem Natale is Full Professor of English Literature, Dean of the Faculty of Modern Languages, Udine University, and President of the Italian Deans of Modern Languages, President of ALL. She is the founder of the Partnership Studies Group, Director of the series ALL (Forum, Udine) and of the online journal Le Simplegadi. She coordinates international research projects on intercultural partnership models in the literatures in English. She promotes and coordinates cultural events on the literatures and cultures of native peoples, and on ethnic and linguistic minorities (Cheyenne, Apache, Manipuri, Maori, Aboriginal Australians). She publishes essays and volumes (in English and Italian) on the literatures in English. At the moment she is working on a volume on the figure of the Goddess in the literatures in English, both within the canon and indigenous minorities. Among her many significant monographic studies and collections of essays: The Art of Partnership. Essays on Literature, Culture, Language and Education Towards a Cooperative Paradigm (Forum, 2003), The One Life: Coleridge and Hinduism (Rawat 2005), The Goddess Awakened. Partnership Studies in Literatures, Language and Education (Forum, 2007) and Id-Entities: Cultural and Literary Re-inscription/s of the Feminine (Forum, 2010).
Antonella Riem Natale è professore ordinario di Letteratura Inglese, è stata direttore del Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Germaniche e Romanze, è Preside della Facoltà di Lingue e Letterature Straniere, Università di Udine, Presidente della Conferenza italiana dei presidi delle Facoltà di Lingue e Letterature Straniere, fondatrice del Partnership Studies Group, Presidente di ALL; direttore della collana ALL (Forum, Udine), e della rivista online Le Simplegadi. È coordinatrice del progetto internazionale Aspetti interculturali e di partnership: multilinguismo e letterature pluricentriche. Promuove e coordina seminari e incontri con le culture dei popoli indigeni (Cheyenne, Apache, Manipuri, Maori e aborigeni australiani). Ha pubblicato e curato studi sulle letterature in Inglese e al momento lavora ad un saggio sulla figura della Dea nelle letterature post-coloniali. È autrice di numerosi studi monografici e saggi, fra cui: The Art of Partnership.
