daniela sannino

Daniela Sannino has a PhD in Modern Philology (Federico II, Naples). She carried out her research at the Universities of Naples and Paris (Sorbonne Nouvelle) studying literary cultural mediation between Italy and France during the 19th century.

Following her graduation in 2004 in Modern Italian literature, she obtained her Master’s degree in 2006 working on Grazia Deledda’s short stories. She has collaborated with the Biblioteca Universitaria, Naples, contributing to a series of seminars on Elsa Morante. She has also been appointed editor of an inventory of Domenico Morelli’s correspondence held at the National Library Vittorio Emanuele III. Her main interest lies in the role of Italian French and English passeurs culturels in the 19th century at the moment when a cultural world gives in and new trends make themselves noticed for the first time.

Daniela is currently IPSE Clerk, EJGS Decennial Special Editorial Assistant, and EJGS Decennial Special Events Team Member, as well as PhD Candidate at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Professor Federica G. Pedriali.
