Carlo Pirozzi graduated from the University of Florence with a dissertation on Piero Bigongiari and the Florentine literary culture of the 1930s and 40s. He gained his PhD in Italian Literature from the University of Chieti with a thesis on Giuseppe Ungaretti.
Carlo is currently working in the Italian Department at Edinburgh University as Member of IPSE, IPSE Outreach Officer and EJGS Decennial Special Editorial Assistant, as well as producing and directing the annual Italian Play of the Department. He is teaching Italian Language at the Italian Cultural Institute, the Office of Lifelong Learning, University of Edinburgh, and various Secondary Schools in the city on behalf of the Italian Consulate General.
His research interests include contemporary Italian poetry, fiction and archival studies.
