Anna Gibbons is the children’s programme manager at Scottish Book Trust. Since joining Scottish Book Trust in 2005 Anna has started innovative projects to encourage children and young people to read and write for pleasure, including the Royal Mail Awards for Scottish Children’s Books, in which nearly 30,000 children across the country read and vote for their favourite Scottish books of the year, and the first ever virtual writer in residence, in which a respected teen fiction writer provides online tutorials and tips to teenagers in Scotland and beyond. Most recently Anna has started a digital project to broadcast the best children’s author events live over the internet to 150,000 pupils in Scotland over 2 years. Anna was formerly Editorial Manager at Barrington Stoke, a children’s publisher of books for reluctant readers based in Edinburgh.
