Adriano De Marco was born in Picinisco, Frosinone, moved to Newport, Wales, in 1964, and settled in Glasgow in 1967. Adriano got married in 1972 and runs a successful catering / property business. In 2001 he started a steel fabrication business.
Adriano has three children, two sons and a daughter. His sons (one a chartered surveyor and the other an accountant) are involved in his business. His daughter is a solicitor.
In 2008 Adriano was elected President of the COMITES representing Italians abroad (Scotland and Northern Ireland), and was made Cavaliere (Ordine della stella solidarietà italiana) by the President of the Italian Republic in 2006.
