Valentino Baldi (1982) is Lecturer in Italian Literature and Comparative Literature at the University of Malta. His research focuses on the relationship between psychoanalysis and literature and on literary realism. He has published a book on Pirandello and Gadda (Reale invisibile, 2010) and a book on psychoanalysis and literature (Psicoanalisi, critica, letteratura. Problemi, esempi e prospettive, 2014). He is part of the Editorial Board of Allegoria and he collaborates with several Italian and international literary journals (Moderna, Strumenti critici, Studi novecenteschi and The Edinburgh Journal of Gadda Studies). He is now completing a book on Francesco Orlando.
