Riccardo Stracuzzi was born in Bologna in 1973. He graduated in Philosophy in 1999 at the University of Bologna with a thesis on C.E. Gadda under Niva Lorenzini’s supervision. After gaining his Ph.D. at Bologna, he was visiting research student at the University of Geneva and postdoctoral researcher again at Bologna. He is now temporary Lecturer of Contemporary Italian Literature at the University of Ferrara. After focussing primarily on the work of Carlo Emilio Gadda, he is presently working on Ugo Foscolo, with essays also on detective fiction, Andrea Zanzotto, Silvio D’arzo, Eugenio Montale and on textual editions of contemporary authors. He is Reviews Editor for The Edinburgh Journal of Gadda Studies (Edinburgh) and Griseldaonline (Bologna).
