Having been a prize-winner of the first Edinburgh Gadda Junior Detective Fiction competition in 2010 I was very interested to see Gadda goes to War at the Traverse Theatre.
I highly enjoyed learning more about the life of Gadda as well as something of the Italian experience of World War One.
The drama itself was remarkable; unusual, at times funny but at times exceptionally moving. The interpretation of the rise of Mussolini, an area of history that I have never previously studied, was as fascinating as it was poignant.
Overall a wonderful experience.
